Lot 273 – A Quantity of Photographs, Memorabilia, and Ephemera, relating to James Allan Mollison MBE (19th April,1905 – 3oth October 1959), pioneer aviator, once married to Amy Johnson (1903 – 1941), comprising:- Australian Pilot’s Certificate and Licence, a Cancelled Passport, a French Competitor’s Licence, a telegram relating to his record breaking flight from Australia to England, July – August 1932, other telegrams, a group photograph, including Amy Johnson, two photographs by “Capstick of Blackpool”, as used in The Tatler Magazine, on February 16th 1933, two photographs of his third wife, Mary Kamphuis, together with news paper cuttings, magazines, and other ephemera.
