Libation Accepted Many Times Despite Damage.

Libation Accepted Many Times Despite Damage.

Two Chinese Rhinoceros Horn Libation Cups exceeded all expectations when they were sold via Ibbett Mosely of Sevenoaks, recently. Shown them during a routine home visit, Partner and Auctioneer Alan White, concluded that despite suffering damage, the cups were still good quality objects. He thought that it would be best to enter them into a more specialist sale. Therefore he entered them into an Asian Art Auction, being held by a well established Home Counties Auctioneer. Dated to the Quing Dynasty (1644 – 1912), they received international interest, which saw them realise a hammer price of £46,000. Alan said “ This just proves that we can achieve the best possible results for our Vendor Clients, because we have their interests at heart. On some occasions we might need to use Specialist Valuers, but, we can also produce good results in our own Salerooms.
